For many years our predecessors had understood the value of animal healing with aloe vera. In 1844 the Veterinary Schools were granted a royal charter and become the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. At this time aloe vera was so widely used in animal healing the college had an aloe vera plant on their coat of arms. It is on the shield of the Centaur (the mythical healer).
However for many years the use of aloe fell from favour in animal and human healing when the medical profession as a whole turned their backs on what were considered old fashioned remedies and began to rely on drugs - a very near sighted course of action as we now know! Finally in the last 20 years we have begun to wake up again to the value of natural remedies and the benefits of animal healing with aloe vera.
