How Aloe Vera can help you overcome "The Flu"

How Aloe Vera can help you overcome "The Flu"

First off: what is the difference between " a cold " and " the flu ".

There has been a lot of discussion in the Times recently about this and there seems to be that there are two main opinions;

One of the opinions seems to suggest that is: If there was a £20 note in the road on the opposite side; if you had a cold you would go and pick up the note and if you had the flu you would not bother!

The other opinion concerns ladies and is 100% accurate, and that is the Mr Darcy test: if you are on your sick bed and Mr Darcy came into the room and you could do nothing for him....then you have the flu.
These two opinions are taken from the times of the 27/12/08.

It is that time of year again when doctors all over the world recommend that the elderly, the vulnerable and young children go to their surgeries to be given an influenza vaccination (flu jab). It is critical to get this in proportion because you must understand what have these three groups of people have in common?

Old people and the vulnerable have an immune system that is weakening and as such their defence against a virus is not so strong. Children will not have fully developed a strong enough immune system and they have the 'endearing' quality of sneezing into everybody's faces (this is very important to note when they are in school) without holding their hand in front of their mouth, which helps to spread a virus.

Many people (practically men) catch a cold and call that flu. In a common cold there will be mild aches, fatigue and weakness, which will be no more than a temporary drain on your immune resources. You will not get a headache or fever, but you will have is a stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat and possibly mild chest discomfort.

When you get flu you will know about it and there will be no room for negotiation, there is certainly no confusion. You will be totally pole axed with a high fever for several days that often is accompanied by a headache, dehydration, considerable aches and pains, fatigue and you will feel very weak, nearly knocked out, in fact.

Let us not make a mistake here, or misunderstand: if you do not have a robust immune system, influenza can indeed be critical and you could die. Do not forget, that after the First World War (between 1918 and 1919) a flu pandemic killed 70 million people, which means the flu claimed more lives than four horrific years of the First World War did.

Now there is a very good reason for this and it is that the war drained many people's immune system, and when you add this the physical spreading of a virus by homecoming troops and you have a recipe for disaster. That particular viral strain overwhelmed the body's natural defences so quickly that the usual cause of death in influenza patients a secondary infection of lethal pneumonia - was often not present. Instead, that particular virus caused an uncontrollable haemorrhaging that filled the lungs, and patients would drown in their own body fluids. Upon that terrifying episode much of the present drive for vaccination is based. But, as vaccinations do have their side effects and complications, would it not be wiser to consider an effective natural approach first?

It is a fact that what is going to make the difference between you getting the flu or not is down to how vigorous your immune system is. What will make the difference between you getting over the flu or not is how (rapidly) your immune response develops. This was the issue in 1918 and will be the issue always when it comes to viral exposure. So the quest is: how robust are you?

And this, I feel is the main problem; unless you are challenged you do not know on which rung of the ladder you stand. Many people do not appreciate or know how strong or weak their immune system is. What are the simple steps can you take to improve the robustness of your immune system?

The very first thing that you have to do is get reasonably fit. Do not worry because this can be done with very little effort or expense. It involves doing three simple things.

Take a brisk walk in the open air for 30 minutes 3x a week.

Go to bed shortly after 10pm and clock up some quality sleep.

Eat daily: freshly made raw vegetables + fruits + berries + grapes juices in the form of smoothes or what ever suits you. 0Drink Aloe Vera and take a good quality vitamin.

You will be truly astounded at how much a little can do. There is a lot more that you can do but with these 3 basic steps, you can slam the door shut on becoming the flu's next victim
